Please join us July 3rd, 7pm as we celebrate with Oregon Republican Senators their stunning win after walking out and denying the Democrat majority the ability to shove massive spending increases down our throats! We will be giving an award to Republican Senate Leader Herman Baertshiger for his leadership in pulling this off, so come celebrate a badly needed win for the grassroots!
Actually, it might even worse as Democrat State Senator Shemia Fagan called Democrat Senator Courtney's actions a "gross abuse of power" as Willamette Week reported when she was the lone Democrat to vote against Courtney's re election as President of the Oregon Senate.
That she would vote against her leadership is normally the kiss of death, especially for a freshman Senator. It clearly speaks volumes that this is serious enough that she would take extraordinary steps to make her disapproval known in a most damaging and public manner.
The revelation that Senate President Courtney's long time spokesman had to resign because he was implicated in the BOLI report appears to demonstrate that Courtney had different approaches towards sexual harassment, s...
This of course is in addition to non transparent Kate's proposed massive tax/fee increases that hurt the poor and middle class she kept hidden during the campaign.
While the socialist utopian ruling Democrats in the legislature can steal your 'kicker' refund outright (with Gov Kate's blessing and signature) by twisting enough arms to get the votes, they are way too smart to give Republicans a profoundly powerful issue to use against them in the next election.
We really shouldn't be surprised that a libertarian oriented think tank, the Cato Institute, would give Oregon Governor Kate Brown an “F” on their 14th biennial budget report card of nearly all the states in the country. In fact Kate Brown is presented as the worst Governor in an article about the summary by Chris Edwards published earlier this month in Townhall.com. The full report is here
Quoted from the article:
“Switching to the worst governors, the report awarded eight F’s this year, with the two worst scores going to “left coast” Democrats Kate Brown in Oregon and Jay Inslee in Washington.
Spending has exploded under Brown, with the general fund budget rising 14 percent in the past two-year cycle and 10 percent in the current one. She supported...
If you are angry, upset and worried about the upending of the judicial confirmation process that the left and the Democrat party has forced on us with their smear of Judge Kavanaugh, then you must realize that his confirmation really depends on you.
The left is filling the email inboxes of and making phone calls to vulnerable Republican Senators like Flake, Murkowski and Collins in a last ditch attempt to make it seen as if there is overwhelming support for them to vote no on his confirmation. Plus, they are busing in thousands of paid protestors to fill the halls of the Senate to try to shut down or alter the final vote on the Senate floor later this week.
Welcome to another story of wasteful spending from the Land of Kate.
The Bend Bulletin's recent editorial about how to squander millions in taxpayer dollars here in Oregon on failed projects like Solo Power is close to the mark, but doesn't quite get there. Neither does the Oregonian story about the matter.
Why you ask?
Because they both ignored Kate Brown's obvious failure of leadership. It seems Kate held no one accountable for making this series of bad decisions including recently authorizing $641,000 in state dollars to pay Solo Power's rent, even though their factory was shut down nearly 5 years ago!
And to add insult to injury, unbelievably the greenie bureaucrats at the Oregon Department of Energy asked Kate for permission to give even more...
How else do you explain the series of massively expensive information technology failures in Oregon? Or the Cover Oregon debacle? Or the PERS 'Ponzi Scheme destructive impacts?
And on and on and on... The list seems endless.
Oregon's deep state isn't the traditional definition of 'deep state' (military/intelligence and bureaucratic elites) but rather a much more insidious and expansive collusion between arrogant, utopian politicians, inept bureaucrats and crony capitalist companies.

Would Ronald Reagan enact an open borders policy if he were President today as a means of filling needed employees because of an aging workforce? Would he again sign legislation for amnesty for Illegal aliens given how poorly that worked out for him the first time? These questions and even more arise from a controversial article in the Oregon Catalyst that advocates for more immigration, legal and illegal and that Reagan would approve.
Reagan regretted his amnesty and the failure of establishing real border security according to Ed Rollins, his long time political advisor, though Reagan's son Michael says he didn't regret the amnesty, but that congress didn't follow through on their part of establishing true border security. Either way it is hard...
Sometimes you just shake your head in disbelief. Kate Brown's finger pointing bureaucrats now argue that Salem's on again, off again toxic algae water crisis could have been avoided if Salem's water bureaucrats had just known that DEQ had the equipment to test the water each day rather than ship samples by FedEx out of state resulting in three day delay for results, while people are consuming potentially harmful water.
I mean, it's not like state water bureaucrats ever talk to Salem's water bureaucrats you know, right?
If you believe that explanation for this mess, then you believe that OJ is still searching for his wife's killer.
This story quotes a DEQ official making the argument that Salem water bureaucrats may not have known the state could...
