Right on cue, the Oregonian has a series of stories about the coming state budget deficit (amidst record revenue) and the building momentum to steal your 'kicker' tax refund to pay for it since they are roughly the same amount of money.
Funny how that happens...
This of course is in addition to non transparent Kate's proposed massive tax/fee increases that hurt the poor and middle class she kept hidden during the campaign.
While the socialist utopian ruling Democrats in the legislature can steal your 'kicker' refund outright (with Gov Kate's blessing and signature) by twisting enough arms to get the votes, they are way too smart to give Republicans a profoundly powerful issue to use against them in the next election.
Instead, they really want to hit a home run since they and their union taskmasters are feeling their oats after their big election wins in November.
They want to change the Oregon Constitution to permanently steal your 'kicker' refund by diverting it into the rainy day fund.
And of course, its always raining in Oregon because after all... its for the children.
And the best part (or worst) of this sordid, overspending by Kate and the Salem politicians tale is that they have time to steal your kicker before they have to give it back to you in the form of a tax credit in 2020. Yep they can pass out a constitutional referral to be voted on in November 2019 and if passed, then steal your kicker.
And just in time for Christmas too!!
How ironic. The very legislative Democrats and Gov Kate that say the champion the poor and middle class are actually going to become the Grinch that stole Christmas for those same people counting on their 'kicker' refund to pay off 2019 Christmas gifts.

We really shouldn't be surprised that a libertarian oriented think tank, the Cato Institute, would give Oregon Governor Kate Brown an “F” on their 14th biennial budget report card of nearly all the states in the country. In fact Kate Brown is presented as the worst Governor in an article about the summary by Chris Edwards published earlier this month in Townhall.com. The full report is here
Quoted from the article:
“Switching to the worst governors, the report awarded eight F’s this year, with the two worst scores going to “left coast” Democrats Kate Brown in Oregon and Jay Inslee in Washington.
Spending has exploded under Brown, with the general fund budget rising 14 percent in the past two-year cycle and 10 percent in the current one. She supported a 2016 ballot measure to impose a gross receipts tax to raise $3 billion a year. Oregon voters defeated the measure by a 59-41 margin, but Brown ignored the anti-tax message and signed into law large tax hikes in 2017.”
Aside from the unsustainable spending that Kate and the ruling class Democrats running the legislature have enacted, what Capitol Watch found striking in this report was how obvious it is that political ideology is the big difference here. It’s the reason why all the top 5 Governors are Republicans and the bottom 8 Governors are Democrats, including Oregon’s very own Kate Brown.
In fact Kate’s so bad, her “F” rating is worse than socialist California Governor Jerry Brown.
That says a lot as California begins to swirl down around the bowl as it heads for the drain. We hope Oregonians wake up soon so we don’t repeat California’s mistakes and end up the same way.

If you are angry, upset and worried about the upending of the judicial confirmation process that the left and the Democrat party has forced on us with their smear of Judge Kavanaugh, then you must realize that his confirmation really depends on you.
The left is filling the email inboxes of and making phone calls to vulnerable Republican Senators like Flake, Murkowski and Collins in a last ditch attempt to make it seen as if there is overwhelming support for them to vote no on his confirmation. Plus, they are busing in thousands of paid protestors to fill the halls of the Senate to try to shut down or alter the final vote on the Senate floor later this week.
The only way that Flake, Murkowski and Collins are going to vote yes is if you contact them and ask them to confirm Judge Kavanaugh. We must equal the noise from the other side that is trying to drown out our voices and we do that by emailing and calling those Republican Senator's offices.
We suggest you do the following: The time it takes to do this is well worth the benefit!
1. Write an email to each Senator individually (not including all three in one) using your own words to express you thoughts and feelings on this matter. We have included talking points for your consideration to put into your own words which is very important to authenticity. Visit their official websites to email them directly by clicking on the contact tab.
Talking points:
1. Please vote yes to confirm.
2. Your vote will impact my life, my children and or grandchildren's lives even though I am not your constituent.
3. Judge Kavanaugh future votes on the high court will positively impact America for generations.
4. He has been treated unfairly and smeared and that shouldn't happen to any nominee.
